Make it a habit to tell one person a day what you appreciate them for.
Put it on your daily to do list. People who clean your office, people who make your coffee, your boss, your partner, your kids, your colleagues.
It’s so easy to start living in your head, taking people for granted, focusing on the problems and missing the forest for the trees.
Seriously, put it in your diary and do it every day. Just remember, there must be no buts (I appreciate you, but….). None of that. Find something good to focus on. You like it when people appreciate you for what you do for them, don’t you?
Appreciation is one of the main ingredients of a happy life – your own and other people’s.
